About Dr. Ghomi

Dr. Ghomi's passion lies at the intersection of neuropsychiatry, technology, and education. He is most interested in exploring digital biomarkers in neuropsychiatry and is a practicing neuropsychiatrist and health technology executive. He holds a BS in electrical and computer engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a MSE in biomedical and electrical engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and a MD from University of Massachusetts Medical School. He has post-graduate training in psychiatry and neurology, focusing on memory and movement disorders. He is a practicing neuropsychiatrist, focusing on neurodegenerative disorders at Frontier Psychiatry, Chief Medical Officer for Braincheck, faculty at the University of Washington Department of Neurology & Institute for Neuroengineering, and an affiliate at the eScience Institute.

I enjoy working with patients concerned or suffering with memory or cognitive issues because once empowered with an understanding of what may be happening, they can move forward with their life and live more vibrantly. Perhaps the hardest part of the evaluation process is the uncertainty and sometimes the long path to receiving information. I partner with each patient to sit with them and understand their unique situation and provide not only a medical explanation but a human one so they can make their own decisions regarding their future fully informed of their options. I engage the entire family where appropriate and work hard to seek a common understanding across all caregivers and loved ones. I will walk you through how I come to my understanding so that it first makes sense to you. This means I will show you what I see on your brain imaging or other testing, empowering you with the knowledge of your own body.
